About the Role

We are seeking reliable and dedicated Cleaners to join our team at Howard Solomon Residential Care in Ferndale. Casual shifts are available, with preference for candidates who can work nights. This role is vital in ensuring residents live in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, offices, and dining spaces.
  • Dust, wipe, and sanitise furniture, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and empty bins.
  • Follow infection prevention and control (IPC) procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.

What we're looking for:

If you are proactive, enthusiastic and looking to explore new opportunities, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Previous cleaning experience, ideally in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality.
  • Understanding of infection control and safe work practices.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Current National Police Clearance (essential).
  • Evidence of COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations (as required).
  • Experience in Aged Care (desirable but not essential)
